Music Play with Trish

Musicianship classes especially for graduates of Trish Cummings’ baby signing classes in South East London.

Classes run in East Dulwich and admission to these classes is limited. If you are interested in joining these classes and you don’t already know Trish, please email her before booking.

These informal learning classes are currently for Parent and Child to attend each week. Each week we explore chants and songs to help our children’s (and our own) musical acculturation to flourish. Songs and chants will become familiar and as the children become more accustomed to the classes, adults will be encouraged to step back and allow their children to take a pro active role in the class IF THEY WISH TO. There is no formal expectation of a child to engage in a particular way in the class. Children remain the responsibility of their parent/carer at all time. Unsafe behaviour will mean your child will be asked to leave the session.

Younger siblings are welcome at the sessions, if you (parent/carer) are able to handle both children. There is no additional charge. Older siblings can find it difficult to join in, because the class is focused on the younger child. I do not recommend older siblings coming to classes unless essential. Older siblings will either be invited to join in sensibly and willingly, or I would recommend that you bring a quiet, static activity for them to engage in at the side of the classroom.
