Curious Piano Teacher and musicianship teacher
I have been consciously fascinated with and drawn to music for as long as I can remember. Music has always been part of my life – either practically, or in my imagination. Music is constant for me.
I nagged and nagged my parents to get me a piano and some lessons from the age of 3 and finally they were able to do that for me when I was 7. I was so lucky to have lessons, although I often didn’t do much practice in between them! I also subsequently studied flute and classical guitar and join many school choirs and ensembles and participated in local music for youth activities and festivals in Cornwall. A degree in music followed this and then I embarked upon a corporate career. When I had my second baby, I decided to become a baby signing franchisee – something I do to this day – and I absolutely love it. Since my children are much older now, I have returned to music study and piano lessons with my own fabulous teacher. I am on a mission to bring the joy of music to people’s lives. It brings so much to us – pure pleasure, enlightenment, solace, intellectual stimulation, creativity, mathematical rigour, body control and discipline…. you name it? Music is connected to it somehow!
